Hello! How are you guys doing? Anybody create anything this week? I had an opportunity to go to an all day scrapday over in Marerro, LA. What a time we had! I can't remember laughing so much (of course, I say that everytime!). I met up Joanie who was one of my best buddies from High School. Hard to imagine that we lost touch for so long. Hard to believe that so much time has passed. We had a great time scrapping with a really fun bunch of gals. Here are the fruits of my labor. The Letters To Santa Designer Series Paper along with the Quick Accents help the pages practically put themselves together!
Chocolate Chip and Riding Hood Red, my favorite Christmas Color Combination this year. Page showing how I prepared for Christmas. The scarves I knitted and Derek's hat! The cookies and fudge and treats we made and packaged as gifts. There is also a page in the Designer Series that has Santa with his list and it says "Naughty or Nice!" I have pics for that one to but ran out of time. Boo Hoo!
Some more pictures of the family day we had. So much fun. You like Diezel Dog ripping the scarf off Mr. Snowman? I thought that added whimsy to the page. This page is Riding Hood Red with Crumb Cake and a strip of the Glittered Polka Dots from the Holly Berry Bouquet Designer Series paper from the Christmas Mini catalg. I made the trees with the retired stamp set Pines (this is one of my favs it has a Bear and a Moose and a pinecone in the set - can't wait to use it on Alaska pics!). Once I cut the trees out (yes by hand!) I sprayed them with water from the mini mister and rolled the top layer of paper off with my finger while they were wet to give them a rough texture. I then inked the trees with Almost Artichoke ink. This is called - making your own embellishments. The snowman was cut from a die cut.
I should share a romantic type layout I had done previously since Valentine's Day is coming up. Mike's niece got married a while back and I loved scrapping the wedding. There were so many picturesque photos and people it was easy to get this layout done.
Her colors were Watermelon (I used Melon Mambo) and Tangerine. I mixed Melon Mambo ink with water in the mini mister and colored the pieces from the program "Melon Mambo aka Watermelon" to bring the colors into the scrap page. One of the nice things about using Stampin' Up is the way all the colors go together. If something is not the right color or you need more color, you can add color in various ways like markers, ink, re-inkers, watercolor wonders, embossing powders, glitter. I could go on and on. The re-inkers are a great investment as you can use them to color almost everything!
Well, that is what I have happening over here!
Take some time and get a little inked up!
Lori
