A little Birdie

Hi there crafty people! 

How are ya today?  The cooler weather has arrived and I am welcoming it with OPEN ARMS!  Hello Fall!  I just love Fall.  All the festivals, the regal colors of fall, Football - Geaux Saints - we finally look like we are getting it together!

I wanted to share a couple of cards with you that are so fun using punches.  These little birds are so cute and fun.  

The fun thing about this card is that I took the Flower Shop flower with all the different patterns on the petals and stamped in on a white cardstock.  Then I cut the party hats out!  How fun to use a stamp set for the paper pattern.

Recipe

Cardstock – 4 ¼ X 5 ½ Night of Navy

                    4 X 5 ¼ Cherry Cobbler

                    3 ¾ X 5 Whisper White

Ink –          Night of Navy

                    Whisper White Craft Ink

Stamp Sets                 Geometrical (Hooray for Today)

                                        Flower Shop (for party hats)

Punches   1 ¾ Circle Night of Navy Large Bird

                                        1 3/8 Circle – Night of Navy Med Bird

                                        1” Circle – Night of Navy Small Bird

                                        Scrap of Cherry Cobbler for Beaks

I created a bunch of these as Thank Yous to my customers this month! 

 

This next idea came from a Convention swap I saw.  I thought it was a great way to share a swatch of the new Stampin' Up In-Colors with new customers.  So easy and fun to make.  The paint brush is the Bird Punch wing!  How creative is that? 

 

I used the sentiment from Flower Patch because I love it!  BE YOU because you are BE YOU TI FUL!

7/8 Scallop Circle punch

Large Oval Punch

Bird Builder Punch (wing for paint brush)

Cardstock - Base is Hello Honey and Whisper White, Crumb Cake Oval, Tangelo Twist, Mossy Meadow, Lost Lagoon, Hello Honey, and BLACKBERRY BLISS  scallop circles! 

Stamp sets - Hardwood (for scrap of paint brush) and Flower Patch

 

SCRAPDAT NEWS 

Next ScrapDat Card Class **NEW DATE** is October 11th 1 - 3 PM.  This is a change from the regular 3rd Saturday.  I have guests coming in town and I am not sure they would understand the pandemonium that becomes a ScrapDat Saturday! HA! 

We will be using the label flip framelet - I can't wait!
