Hi There!
Today is an all day rainy day - my absolute favorite to scrap in. I have put the final touches on some pages I created at the Lafayette Cropical Paradise event. THE MOST FUN I HAVE EVER HAD AT A WEEKEND SCRAP EVER! Loved it - Thank you Treasured Memories! I thought I would share some of them with you! You CAN stamp on your scrapbook pages. You CAN use the same techinques on scrapbook pages that you use on your cards!
This page uses Basic Gray 12X12 with River Rock and Well Worn Designer series paper (from last year)
and the Elements of Style flourish. A border punch with a single hole punch punched out of the dips in the edging.
Flowers were EVERYWHERE in Alaska - This page and the next are about all the flowers. This is a scrapbook page that I taught last year. The background is gorgeous Melon Mambo Designer paper with shiny flourishes running through it Sweet and Sour (year before last!) I just loved the colors in these papers and I bought several packs. The flowers are stamped using Flower Fest (last year's mini) and punched out with the punches. Created the lattice work with whisper white 1/2" strips and the Top Note Die. Trimmed with Old Olive which was crimped, and pumpkin pie. Love this page. There are several current flower stamp sets you could use for this in the current catalog - like Fabulous Florets, Betsy's Blossoms or Mixed Bunch.
Just the butterfly -
The special effects on this page - the camera did not catch. The butterfly wings were cut out of the same paper but in several pieces so they could be curled and layered. I spritzed the paper and wings with the Stampin Up Champagne Mist Shimmer paint mixed with alcohol in a mini mister. Then I coated the pieces of the wings with Crystal effects to add a gloss to it. I Love, love, Love this page!
Here are pics of Mom and I from the Cropical Paradise - We had a blast!
Till the next time - Get a little inked up!

Great work, Lori, on your Alaska scrapbook pages. You make the images just pop off the page.
