Well, you can never start too early on Christmas, I guess! I am not ready to start thinking about Christmas BUT . . . .Trish, a good friend and customer, wanted to recreate the advent calendar in the Holiday Mini Catalog. Have you seen the new Peek-A-Boo frame die cut? There are so many new cards rolling around in my head for this one! Anyway.... Mom, Trish and I embarked on a few fun days of creating this precious Christmas Calendar with the 25 and Counting Stamp Set! Talk about a workout for your brain! Remember the Highlight magazines when you were a kid where you had two pictures to compare and figure out what 8 things were different from one picture to the next? This was sort of like that, we looked at a the mini catalog and tried to figure out "How did they do that?" Well, we laughed so hard, and had a lot of fun and I think we came pretty close. They all came out gorgeous! Wanna see it?
Here is a close up of some of the squares - the new Holly Berry paper is just so cute! We used the Letters to Santa from the Idea Book as well. The stamps are adorable - they could be used for the Kiddie Bingo cards as well.
I definitely recommend finding the center and start with the middle row going up and down and across so that your calendar will be centered. That was fun!
Class info -
There are still a few seats in both of the Wednesday, September 28th card class - see last post for info about that. The 1 o'clock class was moved to 2 o'clock by request. The 6:30 class has openings too!
Scrapbook Class
There will be a scrapbook class on Oct 12th at 6:30 PM. Here is a preview of one corner of the layout:
The technique will be the cute flip book I learned at Scrapfest. Cost will be $15. I will have the kit pre-cut so we can spend time inking, cutting and glueing! Can you to RSVP by Oct 7th if you intend to come so I can have enough kits cut?
Thanks for stopping by! Gotta get going if I am going to have some ink time!
Lots of Luv,
Lori
Great job Lori. I don't have young kids in my life but you might have me thinking about the die and using it for cards. Sometimes you just have to look outside of the box!
